Slow fashion is a movement that prioritizes quality, sustainability, and ethical production in the fashion industry, encouraging consumers to buy less, but better, and to invest in durable, timeless pieces rather than chasing fast trends. We find recycled materials and upcycling as much as we can. Our tye dyed materials are from a local artist that cannot be found anywhere else. We are proud to be a local woman-owned company.

It all started with my Grandma Amy. At a young age she taught me how to sew and instilled a passion that has been with me ever since.

Before she passed away in 2020, we talked a lot about pushing forward with making and creating. It’s all in her name. Amy Lou is literally her signature. I feel like she is still there guiding me along the way.

My family means everything to me. They have helped to keep me in motion. I wouldn’t be where I am now with out their help and support.. Especially my Mom!

Creating this brand has taken some time. I didn’t want the typical quick sew, fast pace market. There is an art to sewing and my goal is to bring that back. It’s all in the details. Which means, things may take a little longer to make. But I promise you, it’s worth the wait!

My love for fashion may look a little different but can cater to a range of people. Music is a huge inpiration. Punk and Ska have my heart and soul. I miss the punk teenager I once was but as I get older my fashion choices have changed.

You will always find checkers in my work. I am Ska’d for life! It’s not a phase!
