ABOUT 

amy lou

It all started with my Grandma Amy. From a young age, she taught me how to sew and instilled a lifelong passion for it in me. Before she passed away in 2020, we often discussed the importance of continuing to create and make things. Her signature, "Amy Lou," reminds me of her influence, and I feel as though she is still guiding me along the way.

My family means everything to me. They have been my support system, and I wouldn’t be where I am now without their help—especially my mom!

Building this brand has taken time because I wanted to avoid entering the typical fast-paced, quick-sew market. There is an art to sewing, and my goal is to restore that craftsmanship. It’s all in the details, which means that the creation process may take a bit longer. However, I assure you, it will be worth the wait!

Although my passion for fashion may differ from that of others, it appeals to a diverse range of people. Music plays a significant role in my inspiration, with Punk and Ska holding a special place in my heart. I miss the punk teenager I used to be, but as I get older, my fashion choices have evolved.

You will always find checkered patterns in my work. I’m Ska’d for life—it’s not just a phase!
